Summary:

April's parents were very messed up. Her dad was in a very bad band, and was always on road tours. Her mother well, she makes goat cheese. On the night of April's kidnapping, both of them were gone. When her mother got home and found that she was gone, she reported it to the police. Theodore Boone was April's best friend. She told him everything at any time, including the night she was kidnapped. On that day, Jack Leeper escaped from jail. When the police searched her house, they found letters to her pen pal. Her pen pal was Jack Leeper. The reports of the crime scene show that there were no breaking and entering so April must have knew the person. While the police follow their ONLY lead, Jack Leeper, Theo was following his own lead. Using his skill of the law, Theo searches for his best friend April on this thrilling story.
