The intent of this genealogical brief of the Allen's of Jackson County, Alabama, is to document family names, dates, places and relationships researched to date. And to hopefully, generate a thirst in us for knowledge about those who have lived, struggled, failed, fought, succeeded, and died to provide the next generation the opportunity for a better life. I have spent several years now researching and abstracting the Allen records at county courthouses, churches, cemeteries, various public and genealogical libraries and from family members. I have attempted to present the names, dates, and relationships as I have discovered them; however, no history is without omissions, contradictions, or errors. These errors I claim as my own, reminding the reader that none were deliberate. In The event a reader has either new information or has knowledge of erroneously presented information, I Would advise me so I might update the records.
